On New Years day Michael was not feeling well. We took him to Abington Hospital. In the Emergency room he was quickly treated for a heart attack.
He is now in stable condition in the Cardiac Care Unit. Michael is being kept sedated to assist in his healing process. His progress has been slow but very steady which is expected in these types of medical cases. Within the past two days there has been significant improvement. He is expected to make a full recovery but at this point it is a little too soon to predict the exact timing.
We will continue to keep you up-dated on his condition as he continues to regain his strength and health.

Hi Sherry. Regarding Michael, the words "slow but very steady" progress and "expected to make a full recovery" are quite heartening to read! It's hard to imagine Michael on his back. I remember his leadership 30-some years ago when I was on the Sherry Lynn sailboat with him and he guided us out of the fog when we were "lost at sea" off the Jersey shore. Take care of that fine fellow, and I'm glad you have lots of family and friends to lean on and who are offering their support. It's been a while since we spoke but please know that your ol' cousin Alan is beaming thoughts of love and light from California.
